Show Racism the Red Card Anti-Racism / Anti-Sectarianism Creative Competition
- Open to Scottish Schools
Show Racism the Red Card has joined forces with the Scottish Government, the Scottish Football Association (SFA) and other key partners to develop and promote our 2013 / 2014 creative competition.
We know that there is a phenomenal creative talent in Scotland’s schools and colleges and we want to use that talent to get across the message that racism and sectarianism has no place in Scotland. This year as it is the 10th anniversary of the competition, we want to celebrate the diverse cultures and heritage that make Scotland the place it is today.
The 2013 / 2014 competition is open to all Scottish Schools, Additional Support Needs Schools and Further Education Colleges, and it supports the main aims and capabilities of the Curriculum for Excellence.
All you have to do is develop a piece of creative work that gets across loud and clear that racism is not welcome in Scotland around the theme of 'Scotland's Heritage'. This could be:
Music or song
Poetry or short story
Dance or drama
In fact it could be anything that is creative, inspirational and stimulated by the anti –racist theme (as long as it’s within the competition rules). Entries are welcome from individuals and class groups.
Winners will be invited to a star – studded award ceremony at Scotland’s National Stadium, Hampden Park, attended by the elite of Scottish football, to receive public acclaim for their work and pick up superb prizes.

This is a great opportunity to work with Show Racism the Red Card, the Scottish Government, SFA and other key partners to show we are serious about making Scotland a fair and inclusive society – we hope you will be part of it.
