October 2005 Fortnight of Action - Action Reports


Amnesty International 5-a-side tournament



Sunday 23rd October, Scotstoun, Glasgow.


As part of the Amnesty International Protect a Human week and the Fortnight of Action, a local AI group organised a 5-a-side tournament.


On a wet Sunday morning, 9 teams braved the weather and assembled, able and willing to rise to the challenge. The teams were cheered on by a vocal support. Women were well represented with an all-girl team and others joining their male counterparts.


Each game was well played and with great spirit.

Winner's - Team A from Group 1
John's team v Gray's team in the final, John's team won 4-2.


Well done to the winners and the runners up. It was a great tournament and raised £180 for Amnesty International. The organisers and all the teams did very well.
