Williamwood High School Fair Trade presentation

Tuesday 1st November

2 pupils from Williamwood High School in Glasgow came 2nd place in this year's SRTRC Schools Competition. Their prize of £400 was put to good use when the school bought fair-trade footballs and volleyballs for use within their PE Department. Glasgow comedian of 'Only An Excuse' fame, Jonathon Watson, and the show's writer Philip Differ attended what turned out to be a very informative assembly for the school's 1st, 2nd and 3rd year pupils.

The school's Fair Trade Group did a power point presentation in which they highlighted the sale of Fair Trade goods every Friday in the school canteen. Show Racism the Red Card's very own Imran Alam did a short talk on the campaign, highlighting the problems of racism in football and society.
